Overview

Agently’s Slack integration brings real-time customer intelligence straight into the channels where your team already works. Instead of switching between tools or missing urgent messages, your team gets live updates on new conversations, lead activities, workflow alerts, and escalating issues. Every notification comes with the essential context so teams can respond instantly, collaborate faster, and close conversations without friction.

This integration is ideal for fast-moving teams who want alignment across support, sales, and operations — all without opening the Agently dashboard.

How it works

Once connected, Agently can push notifications into Slack whenever certain events occur:

  • New customer conversations

  • High-priority or VIP customer messages

  • Sales-qualified leads detected by AI

  • Tasks assigned to team members

  • Conversations that go overdue or need escalation

  • Automation workflow triggers (forms submitted, tags added, etc.)

Team members can perform actions directly inside Slack through interactive message shortcuts:

  • Reply to customers

  • Assign or reassign conversations

  • Add tags

  • Trigger predefined workflows

  • Mark conversations as resolved

Agently keeps the conversation state synced in both directions — as soon as someone replies from Slack, the Agently inbox updates immediately. This reduces delays, ensures no messages fall through the cracks, and enables teams to collaborate in real time without leaving Slack.

Configure

To set up the integration:

  1. Workspace admins connect Slack using OAuth authentication.

  2. Inside Agently’s settings, choose which channels should receive which types of notifications:

    • Support alerts

    • Lead notifications

    • High priority customers

    • Automation events

    • Engineering-related issues

  3. Customize whether notifications should include full message previews, metadata, or internal notes.

  4. Enable or disable quick-actions based on team permissions (replying, assigning, tagging).

Once saved, Slack becomes a fully linked collaboration hub that mirrors your Agently activity — instantly and reliably.
